Senior Commercial Analyst

At UBEECO Packaging Solutions, part of the global UFP Industries group, we are a market leader in industrial packaging solutions with operations across Australia. As we continue to grow, we're seeking a commercially driven Senior Commercial Analyst to help shape business performance through insightful analysis, strategic decision-making, and strong business partnering.

The Opportunity

This is more than a traditional FP&A role.

You will work closely with Sales, Operations, Purchasing and Production teams to identify opportunities that improve profitability, optimise pricing, reduce costs, and drive sustainable growth across the business.

Reporting directly into senior leadership, you'll play a key role in influencing strategic decisions through financial modelling, commercial analysis, and actionable business insights.

What You'll Be Doing

Commercial Business Partnering

• Analyse customer, product and channel profitability to identify growth opportunities.

• Partner with Sales and Operations teams to improve commercial outcomes.

• Support pricing strategy development and margin optimisation initiatives.

• Collaborate with operational teams on costing and performance improvement projects.

Strategic Analysis & Financial Modelling

• Develop scenario models and business cases to support key decisions.

• Lead profitability, customer segmentation and cost optimisation initiatives.

• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and business performance.

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Support budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes.

• Perform variance analysis and provide meaningful performance insights.

• Assist leadership teams with strategic planning and financial decision-making.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with teams across multiple Australian locations.

• Support operational and production performance analysis.

• Collaborate with global finance colleagues to leverage best practices and improve reporting consistency.

About You

You are commercially minded, highly analytical and enjoy working closely with operational teams to solve real business challenges.

Experience & Skills

• Proven experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, Business Partnering or Senior Analyst roles.

• Strong background within manufacturing, supply chain, industrial, FMCG or product-based businesses.

• Advanced financial modelling and profitability analysis capability.

• Experience supporting operational and commercial decision-making.

• Advanced Excel skills with strong BI and data analysis capability.

• ERP experience, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar systems.

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or related discipline.
