Job Description

Enrolled Nurse required to work in a busy Skin Cancer Clinic in Penrith NSW. This role will suit a team player with a pro-active, friendly persona and the ability to multi-task within a busy treatment room setting. This position will provide full nursing support to Medeco Skin Clinic's doctors.

Approximately 2 days per week job sharing with 2 other nurses. All training will be provided by an experienced senior EN.  

Job Type:  Casual Expected hours:  8 – 16 per week. Successful applicant must be available for Annual Leave and Sick leave relief.

  Main Duties Triage.

Wound management. Infection control. Removal of sutures.

Assist with clinical procedures - including excisions and biopsies. Sterilising. Result recalls.

Patient reminders and recalls. Other duties as required. Essential Criteria

Registration with AHPRA. High level of computer skills as the practice is fully computerised. Current CPR.

Well developed interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently with little supervision as well as in a team environment with an emphasis on positive team structure. Legal Rights to work in Australia (sponsorship is not available for this position).

Proven Police check. Current Working with Children's Check.

Successful applicant must be committed to practice ongoing professional development to develop skills for the general practice environment and be willing to assist in Accreditation procedures.   Desirable Criteria

Experience as a peri-operative/surgical nurse is desirable but not essential. Experience in a General Practice environment preferred but not essential.
