One Group Legal is an established and well regarded law firm in St George area.

The firm services a diverse range of clients in a number of areas of law including property and commercial law, family law, civil litigation and criminal law.

Our firm is looking to employ a keen, motivated and reliable civil litigation/family lawyer to join our team.

About the role

The successful applicant will be responsible for the end to end management of civil litigation and family law matters. Experience in both civil litigation and family law is essential in order to be able to assume carriage of such matters and work autonomously without supervision.

We are looking for a motivated individual who, in addition to possessing excellent communication and client service skills, is able to work collaboratively in a team to get things done.

To be successful in this role you will ideally have 4 to 5 years' post admission experience working in a small to medium sized law firm with the civil litigation/family practice area.

Salary is negotiable and is based on experience.

• Have an ability to effectively manage large matters

• Have exceptional drafting skills and a keen eye for detail

• Have willingness to build an understanding of clients and develop effective working relationships

• Have an ability to establish a professional profile and internal networks

• Have a willingness to develop others through mentoring and sharing experiences and networks

• Have excellent technical abilities, be commercially minded, along with excellent organisation, written and oral communication skills

• Be able to provide comprehensive written advices to client

• Be able to maintain good systems, including systems reporting to clients with updates and progress reports

• Be an independent thinker, and comfortable with learning new concepts quickly

The successful candidate will:

1. Be familiar with Leap;

2. Be familiar with relevant civil litigation/family law and processes;

3. Be able to work autonomously and manage their own work load with limited supervision;

4. Be well spoken, well presented and articulate;

5. Have initiative and be willing to contribute to the team culture;

6. Hold client communications as their highest priority.
