Practice Support Assistant – Specialist Medical-Legal Practice

We are a small specialist medical-legal practice seeking a reliable, organised and detail-oriented Practice Support Assistant.
Candidates must have legal work rights in Australia.
The role will commence on Saturdays initially to allow both the successful applicant and the practice to assess suitability. Additional days, hours, responsibilities and long-term opportunities may become available over time for the right person.
We take pride in maintaining a calm, organised, clean, professional and pleasant working environment.
This is not a high-volume reception role. There is no public front desk and no walk-in public enquiries. Telephone work is very limited and infrequent, with most communication conducted by email using established templates and procedures.
Appointments are scheduled in advance, with only a limited number of clients attending each day.
About the Role
The work is generally straightforward; however, it is highly detail-sensitive and requires accuracy, care, attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures consistently.
Small mistakes can have significant consequences. For this reason, we place a strong emphasis on accuracy, reliability and following proven systems.
The purpose of the role is to assist with the smooth operation of the practice, reduce administrative burden and help maintain the high standards of the practice.
Duties May Include
- Appointment scheduling and calendar management
- Email correspondence using established templates
- Document organisation and file management
- Data entry and record maintenance
- Assisting with administrative and office support tasks
- Assisting with simple bookkeeping and reconciliation tasks
- Receiving and checking deliveries
- Monitoring office supplies and consumables
- Preparing consulting rooms for appointments
- Maintaining an organised and professional environment
- Assisting with day-to-day operational tasks as required

Experience
Previous medical-legal experience is not essential.
Training will be provided.
Most technical aspects of the role can be taught. What matters most is reliability, attention to detail, professionalism, accuracy and a willingness to learn.
