Employment Type: Temp‑to‑Perm

Synergie has partnered with a highly respected manufacturer in steel plate distributor and processor, supplying precision‑cut steel plate solutions to the fabrication, construction, infrastructure, mining and heavy engineering sectors. The site operates with modern, highly automated and computerised machinery, with a strong focus on safety, quality and efficiency.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator / Overhead crane to operate and oversee steel processing equipment in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who takes ownership of their machine, understands production flow, and can work effectively within a small team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate steel processing and manufacturing equipment
  • Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts for material handling
  • Load, unload, and move steel products throughout the facility
  • Conduct routine equipment checks and basic maintenance
  • Follow production schedules and quality requirements
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Adhere to all workplace health and safety procedures

    • Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience operating industrial machinery
  • Current Forklift Licence (LF)
  •  Overhead Crane experience (licence/ticket preferred)
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Reliable, safety‑focused and able to work independently

  • Minimal manual handling required
  • Maximum lift: up to 5 - 10KG
