Transport and Logistics Manager

An opportunity to join one of NSW's largest and most successful Foodservice businesses, servicing the hospitality industry, dry, frozen, chilled and Seafood goods. We are 100% Australian owned, with a state-of-the-art Fresh Seafood processing room and equipment.

We are looking for an experienced Transport and Logistics Manager with a combination of strategic and hands approaches to lead a team of approx 100 employees with 2 direct reports and a fleet of over 60 delivery trucks / vehicles. This is a role for someone that has the flexibility to work across all shifts when required.

You will proactively provide:

• Leadership across both warehousing and Transport including managers, supervisors, team leaders, operators and labour hire as well as contractors.

• Strong inventory management practices, stock accuracy and loss prevention controls.

• Labour Management and rostering experience

• Day-to-day warehouse Operations Management, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.

• The ability to identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, logistics processes, and overall operational performance.

• Strong leadership to deliver day to day transport operations ensuring safe, reliable and high-quality service delivery.

• The desire to build a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

About you:

• Transport and Warehouse logistics experience

• People Leadership and Shift Management / continuous improvement     

• Analytical, problem solving and KPI driven 

• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and develop / report on KPIs 

• This is a hands on role and you will be expected to oversee and assist with Transport and Warehouse operations

This role is right for you if you have:

• Good to Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel etc.)

• Warehouse Management System skills

• Awareness of and exposure to WH&S requirements

• Awareness of Lean or continuous improvement practices.
