Our operations organization and logistical capability also need to grow to enable this scale. From a logistics perspective we have recently moved our warehousing solution to DHL, and distribution solution to TGE. With the pace and scale of the growth we are planning for, we need to continue to expand our logistics operations in Australia as well as the capability of operations organization in ANZ.

The successful candidate will partner with local and regional stakeholders to ensure delivery of reliable and sustained service levels at the lowest possible cost. What is the role?

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Transport Operations Manager to join our fast-paced team in Sydney. This pivotal role is responsible for managing the end-to-end relationship and performance of SharkNinja's domestic transport providers. The successful candidate will ensure the efficient and cost-effective delivery of our products to our retail partners and customers across Australia, upholding our commitment to 5-star satisfaction.

What are the key responsibilities of this role?

These responsibilities aim to ensure efficient and effective logistics operations, driving overall business success.

Logistics Management

Manage the day-to-day relationship with our primary transport provider, serving as the main point of contact for all operational matters
Lead regular performance reviews, utilizing data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement.
Negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) are consistently met and exceeded.

Operational Excellence

Oversee all outbound freight movements, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products
Proactively identify and resolve any transport-related issues, minimizing disruption to the supply chain.
Drive cost-saving initiatives and operational efficiencies without compromising on service quality

Resource Planning:

Plan operational resources for key trading and promotional periods
Provide forecasts to transport providers and hold regular meetings with stakeholders, ensuring logistics resources are executed

Reporting and Analysis:

Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting on transport operations, including performance metrics, cost analysis, and trend identification
Provide regular updates to the Supply Chain Manager and other key stakeholders on transport performance and continuous improvement initiatives
Manage daily operational exceptions
Manage reverse logistics and assess the risk and opportunity to drive operational efficiency, compliance and brand protection

Collaboration:

Work closely with our warehouse, sales, and customer service teams to ensure seamless and integrated supply chain
Ensure third-party providers are informed about new products ahead of arrival
Maintain and create SOPs as needed
Collaborate with internal and external partners to support new product launches and promotional activitie

What are the requirements and expectations?

Proven experience in a similar transport or logistics management role, preferably within the consumer goods, retail, or a related industry.
Demonstrated experience in managing 3PL and transport provider relationships, with a strong focus on performance management.
A deep understanding of the Australian transport and logistics landscape.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and entrepreneurial environment.
