We are seeking a Part time position here at our beautiful boutique store Porters Liquor St Ives Village.  We trade 7 days, even through lockdown. Anyone needing security with a job, this is the one!  Quite flexible with hours worked. The store conveniently is located in the St Ives Village Shopping Centre. Come join our friendly team!

The Role

We are seeking a Part time retail assistant to unleash the potential of our  liquor store. A key requirement of the role is creating promotional campaigns (in-store and social-media) to grow sales and build a positive brand image within the local community. You will have accountability for the store’s presentation, product ranging and most importantly, customer experience. The role requires strong organisational capability and responsibility to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the store and the co-ordination of a small team.

About You

You’re a passionate liquor retailer with a keen interest in Australian and international wines, local and craft beers, and spirits. As a self-starter you’re motivated by directly impacting business growth and success. You possess a flair for implementing strategies that deliver profitable outcomes and a superior customer experience. You have excellent attention to detail and a proven track record in growing sales through effective store ranging, pricing and promotional activities. You have excellent interpersonal and administrative skills and enjoy managing a team. You’re a strong communicator who enjoys interacting with suppliers and customers. You want to build a career in the liquor industry and enjoy working in a dynamic and rapidly expanding retail environment.

Requirements

• A current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol accreditation

• Weekend, public holiday and some evening shifts required

• Regular heavy lifting and/or moving of stock is required

• Excellent personal presentation and customer engagement skills

• A current Australian drivers’ licence (a must) , current Forklift license (preffered)

• A right to live and work in Australia
