Join Pitkethley’s Landscape Management (PLM)

We are currently recruiting for two streams of roles:
Landscape Maintenance Supervisors (Managers)
Gardeners / Trades Assistants / Apprentices
1. Landscape Maintenance Supervisor (Manager)
About the Role
Supervisors oversee the day-to-day operations of a small team (1–4 staff), ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You will be client-facing, responsible for on-site quality control, job planning, and representing PLM professionally.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate a team of 1–4 staff
Plan and run daily workflow and allocate tasks
Liaise directly with manager and clients and provide excellent customer service
Carry out higher-level horticultural and maintenance tasks
Ensure safety standards and PLM practices are followed
Support training and development of junior staff
What We’re Looking For
Certificate II / III in Horticulture.
Strong plant knowledge and identification skills
Confidence managing a team and communicating with clients
Experience delivering high-quality work across multiple sites
Ability to manage time, solve problems, and maintain high presentation standards
Irrigation knowledge and soft landscaping experience desirable
A driver’s licence is preferred
2. Gardeners / Trades Assistants / Apprentices
About the Role
These roles support our maintenance teams in delivering high-quality gardening services. Perfect for developing your skills and growing in the horticulture industry.
Key Responsibilities
Routine garden maintenance: mowing, pruning, planting, weeding, watering, fertilizing and mulching
Operating and maintaining gardening tools and equipment
Assisting with soft landscaping projects
Monitoring plant health, pests and diseases
Working as part of a friendly, supportive team
What We’re Looking For
Certificate II–III in Horticulture (or willingness to undertake one)
Apprentices welcome to apply
Physical fitness, reliability, and motivation
Passion for gardening and learning
Basic irrigation or landscape experience is a bonus
