Job description
Plan and manage work schedules to ensure all lawn mowing, edging, ride-on mowing, hedging, pruning and large-area maintenance tasks are completed to a high standard.
Lead by example and support the team in carrying out landscape maintenance, garden bed construction and plant selections.
Ensure all programmed grounds maintenance tasks are completed on time and to the expected quality.
Build and maintain positive working relationships with team members, supervisors, and clients.
Follow all company safety procedures and work practices, helping to maintain a safe and healthy workplace at all times.
Use vehicles, tools, and equipment correctly, ensuring they are well-maintained and operated safely in line with company guidelines.
Complete all required paperwork accurately—such as vehicle logs, machinery details, and service reports—and submit them within the required timeframes.
Be willing to travel to various grounds maintenance sites across the Sydney Metro area.
Manage daily resources, including tools, equipment, materials, transport, and machinery, to ensure smooth operations.
Assist in short-term planning for both scheduled and unscheduled works and assist in coordinating team workflow to meet deadlines.
Prepare all necessary documentation clearly and accurately and carry out any additional duties within the scope of the role as requested by management.
Qualifications & experience
Certificate III in Parks & Gardens, Landscape, Horticulture, Turf Management (or equivalent experience)
ChemCert (desired, or willingness to obtain)
Knowledge and experience with irrigation systems
Current White Card
Current Driver’s Licence
Working With Children Check or willingness to obtain
Police Check or willingness to obtain
Solid understanding of OHS and safe work practices
