Machinist

Southern Explosives Supplies are a well established drill & blast contractor that operates throughout NSW, VIC and QLD. Based in Tarago NSW we operate a fully equipped machine shop supporting the manufacture of precision components and the repair and maintenance of our fleet of drilling rigs and earthmoving equipment. We are seeking a qualified and experienced Machinist to join our team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Operate lathes, milling machines, drill presses and welding equipment ect.

•  Machine components from engineering drawings to tight tolerances.

•  Use verniers, micrometers, bore gauges, thread gauges and depth micrometers.

•  Mechanical assembly and fitting of manufactured components.

•  Maintain workshop documentation and job records.

•  Comply with WHS, risk management and site safety procedures.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

•  Trade Qualification in Machining or Fitting & Machining.

•  Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

•  Reliable, punctual, positive attitude and strong work ethic.

•  Physically fit (medical & random D&A testing applies).

•  Commitment to safety and teamwork.

•  Un restricted drivers license

•  Local to Tarago / Goulburn / Canberra region.

• Must be and Australian Citizen
