AIP Group is a national leader in infrastructure and vegetation management, delivering complex projects that shape communities and protect the environment. We're looking for multiple advanced Vegetation Felling Specialists to join our Major Projects Division - Our current project is based around the Mudgee NSW region, though locations may change in line with project demands.
Candidates must have a minimum of 1-2 years of vegetation felling experience to be considered for this advanced specialist role.
What is the role?
We complete large-scale vegetation clearance programs across Australia working on complex infrastructure sites, where safety, quality, and environmental standards are paramount.
Join us and put your skills to work felling large, structurally complex trees from the ground. You'll assess tree lean, defects, wind loading, barber-chair risks, and surrounding obstacles to plan the safest approach. You'll use precision cutting techniques - like open-face notching, bore/back release, staged felling, and machine-assisted methods - to achieve controlled, predictable results. You'll work closely with the ground crew and our mechanised equipment operators to set safe drop zones and keep communication clear throughout the operation.
What you'll do:
Operate chainsaws, handheld and forestry equipment professionally safely and efficiently
Follow all safety procedures and complete JSAs
Support project delivery and productivity targets
Maintain compliance with environmental and quality standards
Bring energy, ownership, and a solutions-focused mindset. Project and FIFO/DIDO experience is a bonus, but not essential - you'll be backed by a skilled and supportive team.
Why choose AIP Group?
Be part of Australia's leading vegetation management infrastructure team
Permanent full-time role with long-term stability
Be supported by our modernised fleet of mechanised equipment
Competitive pay based on your skills and experience (hourly rate will be in line with skills and experience)
