About the Company

Pacific Fresh is a citrus packing facility located in the heart of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area. We source a wide variety of locally grown citrus, including fruit from our own farms across the Riverina region of NSW.

Our purpose is to ensure product is processed, packed and dispatched in a safe and timely manner. As a member of the Pacific Fresh team, you play a vital role in this process, helping us deliver premium quality fruit to customers across Australia and around the world.

About the Role

Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, the Senior Maintenance Officer is responsible for overseeing and performing maintenance activities across the site. This hands‑on leadership role ensures machinery, equipment and facilities are maintained to a high standard, while keeping employees and visitors safe and production moving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the on‑site maintenance team with a hands‑on approach

  • Promote and enforce WHS compliance and safe work practices

  • Coordinate reactive, preventative and scheduled maintenance activities

  • Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments and follow‑ups

  • Manage contractors, suppliers and maintenance schedules

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and system entries

  • Work closely with Production and Operations to minimise downtime

  • Continuously improve site equipment, processes and efficiency

About You

  • Proven experience in a senior or leadership maintenance role

  • Trade qualification in Fitting & Machining and/or Welding

  • Strong practical skills across mechanical, welding, plumbing and general maintenance

  • Sound understanding of WHS and food safety requirements

  • Basic computer skills and experience using maintenance systems

  • Physically fit and flexible with working hours when required

  • First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
