About the Role
The purpose of this position is to commission and install equipment sold by Columbit, liaising proactively with customer, supplier, and internal project team; and undertake after-sales service repairs, maintenance, and upgrades for customers. The Technician plays an important role in maintaining high quality customer and supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Work closely with the customer and internal sales and project teams to commission installations.

  • Carry out machine installations, including conducting tests to ensure that machine is fully operational according to the manufacturer's specifications.

  • Carry out repairs and service to equipment at the customer's request.

  • Work within the constraints of customer health and safety protocols. 

  • Ensure that all spares and components used conform to manufacturer's specifications.

Qualification & Skills : 

  • Hold Electrical Licence and Drivers Licence.

  • 3+ years’ experience working autonomously as a Field Service Technician/Engineer across various sites.

  • Must have experience in working with food production equipment and/ processed meat/poultry industry.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Be comfortable dealing with mechanical equipment, including fault-finding and repair.

  • Problem-solving, solution focused approach.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
