Appliance Parts Installation Technician

Wollongong Service Company is growing, and we're looking for an additional team member to assist with appliance repairs by fitting replacement parts to appliances that have already been diagnosed by our technicians.

This role is focused on completing repairs where parts have already been ordered and the fault has already been identified, allowing you to concentrate on quality workmanship and efficient repairs.

About the Role

• Install replacement parts in domestic appliances including washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, cooktops, refrigerators and more.

• Work from pre-diagnosed repair jobs with parts supplied.

• Read service information, parts diagrams and repair instructions.

• Complete repairs in customers' homes and occasionally in our workshop.

• Opportunity to develop diagnostic skills over time if desired.

What We're Looking For

Experience in appliance repairs is highly regarded but not essential.

Candidates with experience in any of the following would be well suited:

• Appliance repairs

• Electronics or electrical work

• Mechanical assembly

• Maintenance or service technician roles

• Parts interpreting

• Automotive, machinery or industrial spare parts

• Trade assistant roles

• General troubleshooting and hands-on problem solving

Retired or semi-retired technicians looking for flexible work are also encouraged to apply.

You will ideally:

• Be mechanically minded and enjoy working with your hands.

• Have good attention to detail.

• Be reliable and professional with customers.

• Be capable of working independently and managing your own schedule.

• Hold a current driver's licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle.
