The role involves preparing and cooking a variety of meals, following recipes and food preparation procedures, maintaining food quality and presentation standards, and ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene requirements. The Cook will assist with ingredient preparation, stock management, kitchen organisation, and maintaining a clean and efficient work environment. Relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in a commercial kitchen are required. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality meals using fresh, local ingredients. You’ll be responsible for preparing and presenting dishes to a high standard, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, and supporting smooth service during busy periods. If you’re passionate about food and thrive in a fast-paced, friendly setting, we’d love to hear from you!

This position is casual, with extra hours able to be picked up during peak seasons / part time.

In this Role, You’ll

 Prepare and serve meals to a high standard using fresh, local ingredients, while minimising waste and following menu guidelines. Order, receive, and rotate stock efficiently, ensuring quality control and compliance with food safety standards. Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen and dining area, including equipment, surfaces, and floors. Work respectfully and effectively with team members, contributing to a positive and productive work environment. Follow all WHS and food safety procedures, including audits, chemical handling, and accurate record-keeping.

You’re Likely a Match If You

 Have previous food safety training and a solid understanding of HACCP principles. Have experience in food preparation and cooking, with strong communication and basic budgeting skills. Are a proactive, respectful team player who takes feedback well and contributes to a positive work environment. Manage time effectively, stay responsive under pressure, and maintain high standards in everything you do. Are comfortable with lifting, standing for long periods, and using kitchen equipment and cleaning products safely with PPE.
