Key Responsibilities<ul><li style="text-align:justify;">Prepare, cook and present a variety of breakfast, brunch, lunch, café-style meals, salads, sandwiches, burgers, wraps, baked items and other menu offerings in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, portioning, marinating and assembling food items for daily service.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Assist with planning daily food preparation and organising kitchen operations to ensure efficient service.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Monitor food quality, taste, consistency, portion control and presentation before service.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Contribute to menu improvements, seasonal specials and new menu development.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Ensure ingredients are stored, labelled and rotated in accordance with food safety requirements.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering, receiving and storing food supplies.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Inspect ingredients to ensure freshness and minimise food wastage through effective stock control.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen in compliance with food safety and workplace health and safety requirements.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Coordinate food preparation during busy service periods to ensure meals are delivered promptly.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Supporting in training and supporting junior kitchen staff while promoting effective teamwork.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Work collaboratively with front-of-house staff to ensure excellent customer service.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Assist with opening and closing kitchen procedures and general kitchen maintenance.&nbsp;</li></ul>Skills &amp; Experience<ul><li style="text-align:justify;">Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or Diploma of Hospitality Management (or equivalent qualification).&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">At least one year of experience in a commercial kitchen.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Sound knowledge of food preparation techniques and commercial kitchen operations.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Understanding of food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Strong communication, teamwork and organisational skills.&nbsp;</li><li style="text-align:justify;">Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.&nbsp;</li></ul>How to applyPlease submit your current resume and a brief cover letter.
