We are seeking a full-time Cook with the right attitude and passion for working in an Indian kitchen.&nbsp; <h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li>Work with well reputed restaurant</li><li>full-time position&nbsp;</li><li>Opportunity for career growth</li><li>Supportive Multicultural Environment&nbsp;</li><li>competitive salary</li></ul> <h3>Task & responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Prepare and cook a variety of high-quality dishes, with a focus on Indian cuisine, following established recipes and menu requirements.</li><li>Examine foodstuffs on receipt and before service to ensure freshness and quality standards are met.</li><li>Assist in the preparation of ingredients and ensure meals are cooked and presented consistently for lunch and dinner service.</li><li>Prepare dishes to accommodate special dietary requirements (e.g. vegetarian, gluten-free, allergies) where required.</li><li>Follow food preparation schedules and support the smooth day-to-day operation of the kitchen.</li><li>Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in accordance with workplace health and safety regulations.</li><li>Assist in menu preparation by providing suggestions for Indian dishes and seasonal specials when required.</li><li>Train and support junior kitchen staff and apprentices in food preparation techniques and kitchen procedures where required.</li><li>Assist with monitoring stock levels, storing ingredients correctly, and notifying management of items requiring replenishment.</li><li>Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of food supplies to minimise waste.</li><li>Maintain a clean, organised, and sanitised kitchen, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.</li><li>Follow instructions from the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager and contribute to delivering quality food and excellent customer service.</li></ul>&nbsp;&nbsp; <h3>Qualification & experience</h3><ul><li>AQF Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent relevant qualification).</li><li>Minimum of 1 year of fulltime relevant commercial cooking experience.</li><li>Relevant experience preparing Indian cuisine in a full-service commercial restaurant.</li><li>Demonstrated experience preparing curries, biryanis, tandoori dishes, breads, sauces and vegetarian dishes.</li><li>Experience safely operating commercial cooking equipment, including a tandoor.</li></ul>
