<p>We are seeking full time carpenters and joiners for our teams with the following duties:</p><ul><li>Interpret architecural drawings and technical specifications to identify required materials measurements, and installation methods</li><li>Source, select, and organise appropriate timber and other construction materials, ensuring suitability for each project.</li><li>Measure, mark, and prepare layouts to ensure accuracy before fabrication begins.</li><li>Cut shape, and ensemble timber components using hand and power tooks, ensuring tight joins and structural integrity.</li><li>Construct and install frameworks, roofing structures, floowing systems, and wall partitions, ensuring alignment and level accuracy.</li><li>Install external elements such as cladding, window and door frames, fascia baords and roof coverings.</li><li>Fabricate and ensemble custom woodwork components off-site or in workshop settings for final installation.</li><li>Create precision joints and connections to ensure strength, durability, and high-quality finish.</li><li>Build formwork for concreate structures when required.</li><li>Carry out maintenance, modifications and repairs to exisiting structures and fittings</li><li>Work with a range of materials beyond timber, including laminates, acrylics (such as perspex), and light metals where required.</li><li>Manufacture and install bespoke cabinetry, shelving, counters, and display units for retail and commercial environments.</li><li>Ensure all fittings meet design specifications, brand standards, and functional requirements.</li><li>Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other trades to deliver complete fit-out solutions on schedule.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><p>Relevant qualifications including certificate III or IV in carpentry or joinery</p><p>Minimum 2 years experience in relevant field or 3 years carpentry or joinery experience in lieu of formal qualifications</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Marking and measuring</li><li>Cutting and shaping wood</li><li>Joinery techniques</li><li>Blueprint and technical drawing reading</li><li>Tool Proficiency</li><li>Time Management</li><li>Attention to details</li></ul><p>If you are interest in the role, &nbsp;please email your resume to James at <a href="mailto:james@dfscs.com.au">james@dfscs.com.au</a></p><p>&nbsp;Only Australia residents with work rights will be considered for the position</p>
