The position involves staff leadership, rostering, stock and cost control, food safety compliance, implementation of franchise standards, sales development and the delivery of consistent customer service. <h3>Benefits</h3> <h3>Task & responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Manage the day-to-day operation of the store, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, till and safe management.</li><li>Plan and oversee daily bread production and food preparation schedules to match forecast customer demand across trading periods.</li><li>Manage weekly stock ordering through&nbsp; suppliers, controlling inventory levels, stock rotation (FIFO) and wastage to franchise benchmarks.</li><li>Monitor and manage store financial performance, including daily reconciliation and banking, weekly sales reporting to the franchise owner, and control of food cost and labour cost against budget.</li><li>Recruit, train and supervise Sandwich Artists and shift staff, including onboarding through franchise training modules and ongoing coaching on speed of service and order accuracy.</li><li>Prepare weekly staff rosters against forecast sales, ensuring compliance with the applicable award including pay rates, breaks and record-keeping.</li><li>Ensure full compliance with the Subway Food Safety program and local council requirements, including temperature checks, cleaning schedules and readiness for compliance evaluations and health inspections.</li><li>Maintain Subway brand presentation standards and execute national promotional campaigns and limited-time offer changeovers on schedule.</li><li>The role also liaises with IPCA, an independent purchasing company that controls quality and performance of the suppliers.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Be responsible for&nbsp;Weekly stocktake&nbsp; inventory management, weekly inventory and sales reporting to the Franchisor HQ</li><li>Drive store sales through upselling programs, catering orders and management of third-party delivery platforms (Uber Eats, DoorDash).</li><li>Handle customer feedback, online reviews and complaints, and coordinate local marketing activity including community and business catering accounts.</li><li>Ensure workplace health and safety obligations are met for staff and customers at all times.</li></ul> <h3>Qualification & experience</h3><ul><li>A Certificate IV or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Management, Retail Management or a closely related field.</li><li>At least two years of relevant experience in retail, restaurant, hospitality or quick-service restaurant management.</li><li>Demonstrated experience supervising employees, preparing rosters and coordinating daily store operations.</li><li>Experience with stock ordering, inventory control, cost management, cash reconciliation and sales reporting.</li><li>A sound understanding of food safety, workplace health and safety and customer service requirements.</li><li>&nbsp;Strong leadership, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.</li><li>The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage competing operational priorities.</li></ul>Experience within a franchised restaurant or quick-service food environment will be highly regarded.
