Your responsibilities will include:<ul><li>Read and interpret architectural drawings, construction plans and specifications to determine dimensions, materials and installation requirements.</li><li>Plan the sequence of carpentry work, estimate material quantities and prepare cutting lists to minimise waste.</li><li>Measure and mark out building components, checking dimensions, levels, alignment and squareness before cutting or installation.</li><li>Select, inspect and prepare timber, engineered wood and other construction materials suitable for the specified work.</li><li>Cut, shape and join materials using hand tools, power tools and woodworking equipment.</li><li>Construct, erect, brace and install wall frames, floor systems, roof trusses and other structural timber components in accordance with project requirements.</li><li>Follow site inductions, safety procedures and applicable safe work method statements, including controls for work at heights, dust and manual handling.</li><li>Maintain clear access routes, remove offcuts and protruding nails, and keep work areas safe and orderly.</li><li>Protect completed works from damage and assist with defect rectification, site clean-up and preparation for handover.</li></ul>The successful applicant will have:<ul><li>A relevant carpentry trade qualification or demonstrated carpentry experience for at least 1-2 years</li><li>A valid White Card.</li><li>The ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills.</li><li>A reliable, punctual approach and commitment to safe work practices.</li></ul>
